The line "The plotting function itself" should be a heading.

PR Summary

The line "The plotting function itself" should be a heading.
Probably inserting another linefeed above that line will make it render as such.
I hope that this minuscule change will fix it!
Kind regards, Carsten.

PR Checklist

  • Has Pytest style unit tests
  • Code is Flake 8 compliant
  • New features are documented, with examples if plot related
  • Documentation is sphinx and numpydoc compliant
  • Added an entry to doc/users/next_whats_new/ if major new feature (follow instructions in README.rst there)
  • Documented in doc/api/api_changes.rst if API changed in a backward-incompatible way

The line "The plotting function itself" should be a heading.

It did not. I think @timhoffm knows how to fix this kind of thing.

Thanks to @jklymak for the advice. Moving the imports between the docstring and the sphynx should fix the issue.
