👋  Hi there

I'm a bioinformatician based in San Francisco, CA, USA. I enjoy learning to derive biomedical insights with computational tools from complex datasets. I love to stay up to date on the latest in functional genomics, including CRISPR screens, single-cell analysis, and multi-omics integration. I'm also deeply interested in the application of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) to develop personalized treatments and new therapeutic strategies.

You can find me on Twitter @Sacco_jf. Feel free to tweet me any time. You can also check out my website https://jsacco1.github.io/ for my blog and more.

Hire me for consultations.

👇  Current project

I'm currently working on CRISPRia Design, a working module for CRISPR interference/activation (CRISPRi/a) library design by targeting cell-type specific transcription start sites. I would like to thank Horlbeck et. al. from the Weissman lab for their work in designing v2 of their CRISPRi/a genome-widelibrary. Follow the Github feed to keep up with my progress.
