The sklearn package is a wrapper around scikit-learn, and sklearn will be removed at some point, starting with brownouts.

Instead, use scikit-learn directly.

@bmabey Can we get this change merged?
We're using the library but don't want to rely on the deprecated sklearn pip-package, which is keeping us from updating to v. 3.3.1.
