TBD — Ante Up Nation Platform (Work in Progress)

This repository contains an active, evolving codebase for a data-driven web platform focused on public entities, nonprofits, and local organizations, with an emphasis on governance, transparency, and structured data workflows.

The project is built as a modern full-stack application using Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres + RLS), and geospatial data, and serves both as a production-grade system in progress and a living portfolio of architectural, data-modeling, and engineering decisions.

Project Status

Status: Active development / pre-production

This codebase is under continuous iteration. Some features are fully implemented, others are partially scaffolded, and some areas intentionally reflect experimentation and refactoring as the system evolves.

The repository is public to enable transparency, learning, and review — not because the project is “finished.”

Technical Overview

Frontend • Next.js (App Router) • React + TypeScript • Tailwind CSS

Backend / Data • Supabase (PostgreSQL) • Row Level Security (RLS) • SQL migrations and typed database access • Entity-based data modeling (districts, schools, nonprofits, businesses, etc.)

Supporting Concerns • Governance and board-style workflows • Dependency hygiene via Dependabot • Explicit migration and schema management • Geospatial data handling and mapping

Engineering Philosophy

This project prioritizes: • Correctness over cleverness • Explicit data models over ad-hoc logic • Incremental improvement over premature optimization • Clear intent over silent automation

Tooling such as Dependabot, migrations, and linting are used deliberately — not blindly — with documentation explaining when and why automated changes are accepted or deferred.

About the Author

This project is developed and maintained by Brian Johnson.

It represents both: • an ongoing product concept in the civic / nonprofit space, and • a hands-on demonstration of full-stack, data-centric engineering work.

The repository is actively maintained during a professional transition period, allowing time to focus deeply on system design, architecture, and long-term maintainability. Feedback, review, and discussion are welcome.

Notes • Some features are intentionally unfinished or evolving. • Historical commits may reflect refactors, dependency removals, or architectural changes as the system matures. • This repository is not intended as a starter template, but as a real system in progress.

If you’re reviewing this repository as a hiring manager, collaborator, or curious engineer: thank you for taking the time to look beyond surface polish and into how decisions are made and documented.
