An economic and medieval flavour mod for CK2
This mod aims to flesh out some economical mechanics for the game and bringing some more medieval flavour and immersion for us players.
The 3 towers are respectively the symbols of power of the main actors in CK2 : the dungeon for nobles, the steeple for clergy, the belfry for burghers. Since this mod deals about those holding types and those important actors of medieval age, i found this name a good name. The original name is in French since i didn't really intended to share it here at first.
Gameplay :
- Unique trade system with dynamic trade routes
- Ressources and economic system
- Settlement specializations
- Cathedral construction with relic system
Flavour :
- forest themed (donation, buy/sell/forest charters, specializations...)
- economic themed (prosperity, crops, climate related event...)
- chronicles entries
- new increase skills ambition event chains (fabrics' sellings, the cadastre, the legendary sword)
Graphics :
- new graphics associated with the new features (a lot modifiers icons, event pictures etc. )
- completion of specialisation system
- flavour and even more flavour ! the return of bandits, mushroom hunt, new laws...
The mod is designed to work on both Vanilla and SWMH maps. Playing with Arkopack modules is highly recommended. Arkopack CoA pack because it adds some features only active with SWMH, Arkopack Interface pack because some design choice (more space for modifiers and such) are though for L3T/T3T, some interface modifications were L3T exclusive and are now inherited by Arkopack. NBRT+ is of course a must have. It is shipped through H.I.P alongside with SWMH. To use L3T with HIP, don't install EMF.
This is a version of the mod that is constantly updated. Therefore, it is not recommended to use if you want to play a game. If you do, however, want to help us testing the mod or join our team, please PM or contact us in some way and we will give you directions. The Git version will never receive any support and bug reports on it will be ignored.
Like this repository contains more than the game, it is not possible to clone directly Git repo inside mod folder. To run the mod from a Git local repository:
- Clone the repository to Git default location (for instance C:\Users\username\Github)
- Run create_symbolic_link.bat to create symbolic links from CK2 mod folder to the actual folders in your Git working directory
As we use GitHub, some guidelines are needed. Therefore, we would like to ask you the following:
- Before making any new commit to master, please check your code (either by using the Validator, or reading it through) in order to avoid any issues.
- If you are doing any change to the mod (major or minor), please add a mention to it in L3T/Changelog_ENG.txt, in order for us to easier make public releases and keep track of changes. It is better to have a too full changelog rather than a one that is incomplete.
