Recent literature has focused on the involvement of cortical areas of the brain in this syndrome. We report a case of Asperger's syndrome in which an extensive work-up, including neuropsychological, neurophysiological and neuroimaging procedures, were undertaken. The findings of the various investigative procedures are discussed and literature supporting the neurobiological basis of Asperger's syndrome is highlighted.
