emerged as the most appropriate solution for electricity generation purposes.
However, due to variable temperature and irradiance, under the partial or
shaded conditions Maximum Power Point Tracking is needed to determine
highest efficiency of the system. The paper describes dynamic modeling and
control of variable temperature and irradiance on solar panel in SIMULINKMATLAB
environment. The implementation of Buck Converter is used for
power switching and impedance matching on connecting the panel to the
load. The effectiveness of the model, with enhanced efficiency through
voltage stabilization, is performed using Proportional-Integral-Derivative and
Fuzzy-Logic-Controllers. A comparative study is made for PID and FLC on
the basis of outputs to deal with online set point variations. FLC gives closer
results to Standard Test Conditions when compared with PID. The Fuzzy
system developed, using tested membership functions serve as a platform for
sustainable standalone and grid-based applications using distributed MPPT.
integrate PV applications in renewable energy. There appears
stringent need to understand need of standalone/grid PV system
requirements. As a consequence, functions like dynamic control
of active and reactive power with operation exhibited over a wide
range of voltage and frequency through converters becomes a
necessity. This paper explains five different converter topologies
and control of simulink based solar panel based on continuous
and discrete GUI. In addition to power electronics, paper focuses
on the specific essential factors including detection of MPPT for
photovoltaic systems ideally considering STC. The
synchronization of PV model is based on applied voltage at gate
control.
Keywords: DC/DC converters, standalone/grid system, topologies and
control of converters, MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tacking), STC(Standard Test Conditions).
Keywords: Fuzzy Controllers, Fuzzy-P, Fuzzy-PD, Fuzzy-PD+I, Basis Weight, Simulink.
action plan for “Solar India”. Power switching converters are used in numerous solar based applications.
The rapid increase in standalone and grid based structures employ circuit regulation using Buck, Boost and
Buck-Boost Converters. In this perspective, electricity generation and supply is required to adapt changes
relative to duty cycle for continuous and discrete time systems. An effort is made in this paper to visualize
potential of converters in meeting global energy requirements. Analysis of power electronic converters is
carried out in continuous and discrete Simulink environment considering effect of phase delay. Duty cycle
and efficiency calculations for 60W panel using 36 solar cells are compared.
Keywords: Solar India, Power switching converters, standalone and grid structures, Duty cycle,
Efficiency, Simulink.
India with expected annual growth 6% by end of 2017.
The competitiveness of Indian paper industry is marked
by sharp focus on quality and costs. New generation
pulp and paper industries have enormous challenges
concerning Online Set Point Tracking Control. In this
paper Hybrid Fuzzy Logic Controllers based on the
integration of conventional and fuzzy controllers i.e.
Fuzzy-P, Fuzzy-PD and Fuzzy-PD+I are analyzed for
tuning gain. A servo model is developed using Simulink
and Fuzzy Logic toolbox. Different scaling gains and
their relationship with different constants of
conventional PID controllers are discussed.
Key words: Set Point Tracking Control, Hybrid Fuzzy
Logic Controllers, Scaling Gains, Simulink, PID
controllers.
