The current crisis of sport in Serbia justifies its prediction of real potential future of sport ... more The current crisis of sport in Serbia justifies its prediction of real potential future of sport organizations. Sample of respondents (N=277) was divided in two subsamples: 113 professional persons involved in the management of sports clubs ("experimental" sample) and 164 individuals ("control" sample). The results of structural analysis showed that experimental sample based its vision on the staff as a determinant of the system, which is providing creativity as a characteristic of the organizational culture of the club. Control subsample of respondents could indicate some characteristic variables to predict the future of clubs, but can't say a clear prediction system based on a long sequence of reasoning. We can conclude that the mentioned two sub-samples are differerent in terms of the ability to orient to predict the future of their clubs on the basis of assessment of the key variables that shape the future scenarios.

The research was conducted drawing on a pre-established methodology related to the assessment of the level of sports innovation based on 16 defined indicators. Grades were attributed to data found in available scientific articles that were published until 2021, as well as in secondary data sources (Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science), such as governmental and nongovernmental reports and online content on Google (N = 18) from the same period. The findings of content analysis indicate that all indicators averaged 2.25 (fair) on a six-point scale, while only one indicator was rated as excellent, five indicators were rated as good, four indicators were rated as fair, and lastly, five indicators were rated as poor. This study aimed to test the influence of destination image and event quality on athletes’ intent... more This study aimed to test the influence of destination image and event quality on athletes’ intentions to repeat visiting the city in the future and develop positive word-of-mouth. Two hundred and twenty-five (N = 225) questionnaires were collected, with an on-site survey, from athletes. Destination image was measured with the affective and cognitive dimensions (Kaplanidou & Vogt, 2007). Event quality was measured with three dimensions: core, tangibles and supporting (Alexandris, et al., 2017); finally, behavioural intentions were measured with intention to visit the city in the future and word-of-mouth communications (Alexandris, et al., 2017). The factorial validity of the scales was supported with a confirmatory factor analysis; the model showed acceptable fit indices: S-B χ2 = 819.61, p < 0.001, NNFI = 0.95, CFI = 0.96, RMSEA = 0.08, RMSEA CI = 0.079–0.089. In terms of the intention to visit the city in the future, the results showed that the model predicted 21% of the variance (F = 3.25, p < 0.001). All the dimensions had significant contributions to the prediction of intentions. In terms of the word-of-mouth communications, the model predicted 28% of the variance (F = 4.04, p < 0.001). The tangibles and supporting dimensions had the most significant contributions. The theoretical and applied implications of these results are discussed.
The aim of the study was to determine the differences between expected and perceived service qual... more The aim of the study was to determine the differences between expected and perceived service quality, as well as the relationship between dimensions of service quality, customer satisfaction and purchase intentions of users in fitness centres. For this purpose, 323 users of fitness centres in private ownership in Serbia were surveyed. Results of the analysis of the SERVQUAL questionnaire showed that the biggest gap between expected and received quality service exists in the context of the factor of 'Cleanliness', while the smallest gap exists within the factor of 'Equipment' and conditions for exercise and factor of 'Staff'. Furthermore, the structural analysis indicates that customer satisfaction is largely determined by the 'Cleanliness' and characteristics of the 'Staff', and that the satisfaction has a high predictive impact on future purchase intentions (β=0.63). In conclusion, it can be determined that the managers of fitness centres in Serbia must give priority importance to recruiting and training of the employees, with effective attention paid to the cleanliness of facilities.

Statistical data processing is based on analysis of variance (ANOVA) by which comparison was made between groups of subjects formed according to their social and economical characteristics. It was shown that exist statistical significant differences in physical activity and anthropometric characteristics at children, determinate by different social-economic characteristics of family.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of judo training on anthropometric characteri... more The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of judo training on anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities of boys, aged 11 to 15 from the Serbian province of Vojvodina. On the sample of 117 schoolaged boys who train judo, and 254 boys who do not, anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities have been compared with an independent t-test. Results have clearly shown better performance in motor tests by the judo-trained, as well as differences in subjects in anthropometric characteristics. The effects of judo training on anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities are reflected in changes in circular dimensions with regard to statistically significant differences in speed, strength and coordination in the judo-trained compared with the judo-untrained participants.
