What is this and why is it no using any of the performance cores? Things like that happen regularly since at least RC.

Suddenly it's looking normal and those md_workers are gone. But often the Efficiency Cores are 100% in use (completely pink) and only Performance Core 10-14 just a tiny bit.

Looks like that now. Still no use of Core 5-9:

Background maintenance. Spotlight indexing in this case. It's normal and has always been like this.

Thanks, this was a few minutes after login. But there are sometimes other strange processes using very much CPU, then also the cores 10-14 are much more in use and the fan is getting "loud" or at least the Mac feels really hot. It almost never was hot in Sequoia even in the first Betas.

The clock on my Lock Screen is always one hour behind. But not on the logout screen. This is going on since a while now, can't remember when it started. Maybe when the summer time here ended on October 26th.

Does anyone else have an issue like that?

LOL, just catched another new bug in Finder with 26.2. Had my iPhone (only own one) connected earlier today and just noticed I have two iPhones listed in Finder, despite no iPhone being connected right now.

Edit: And this ugly UI bug also still has not been fixed. They just don't care about macOS it seems.

Anyone using 26.2...I'm still on Sequoia. After a bad experience with 26.1 I downgraded. The issues I had, which I am curious about in 26.2, were primarily connectivity...sometimes I had to use a VPN and sometimes I couldn't, to go online...no pattern. That was a big problem. Smaller things...is the Play bar in the Music app still at the bottom of the screen? Are there still those extra boxes in finder and other windows? Thanks in advance!

I was worried about 26.2 given all the negative feedback during the betas and RCs, but it's fixed a few bugs I had in Spotlight, Safari, and a few other areas, and everything's been smooth, so I'm pleased.

Wow this was weird. I didn't even know that I had automatically download but not install Mac OS update with 26.1. So today I wanted to update the iMac M3. I usually quit all apps and restart first to clean things up in memory. The iMac did its restart process, I put in my password, then the screen goes black and shows a startup bar...then it reboots and asks for my password again. It kept doing that...after about 8 times LOL...I gave up and clicked on the Power Symbol on the upper right hand corner instead of entering my password again. So I selected Shutdown this time. I let it shut down, then I hit the power button on the back to turn it back on. This time, after entering my password it booted up all the way to the finder. I then check and saw I had download Mac OS but not auto install. Weird. I did the update and after it rebooted I turned off that crap and just left Security Updates on for auto install. That was weird.

26.2 great so far on M1 Max MacBook Pro 16 w 32gb.

I still think they need to make this right and restore general system performance to Sequoia levels. I notice it in small places like the Zoom window lingering a second or two longer than it should after I quit. Everything else generally ok. I dont see why this wouldnt be possible.

"mediaanalysisd" on my 26.1 and now 26.2 has been maxing my CPU at over 200% for weeks now. I was hoping this update would fix it but it didn't.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have tried force quitting it but it will re-appear after a while and the same issue persists.

There’s no way this is real tbh

I also don't see anything liquid anymore. That for example looks like this:

Screenshot 2025-12-15 at 11.06.04.png

Just a little transparent like most things up there.

Even Clear is activated:

(With Tinted it's a tiny bit less transparent, barely noticeable anywhere.)

The only thing left from Liquid Glass are buttons on sliders if you click them.

But the design is bad anyway. Everything taking much more space than before.

I this slider doing anything for anyone? I don't see any difference anywhere.

Just noticed it is working for the top section of Numbers. Haven't seen it anywhere else yet.

Yeah, the whole thing is kinda pointless now, they added so much drop shadow or drop lighting behind things like control center and music controls that the glass effect is barely noticeable. It’s using those resources for nothing, may as well just make it kinda transparent and get rid of liquid glass all together if it’s going to look like this :/

Kinda sad, I liked it with the really clear liquid glass originally

after installing macOS 26.2 using MacRumors site with adguard blocker now none of the images load, didnt have the issue before, if I disable adguard they come back fine
