This was a fun demo with some decent scares and I love the haunted pizzeria concept. Just one slight issue: I tried to multi-task while a pizza was in the oven by preparing another on the counter, and for some reason when it was time to place my cooked pizza in the box, it wouldn't go in - it was just stuck to the shovel. Don't know if that's a bug or maybe I missed something, but being able to prepare more than one pizza at a time would help pass the time while waiting for a pizza to cook. Anyway, I really like what I see so far and I'm looking forward to play the full version.

Fun and intense! Puzzles were easy enough to get through without getting frustrated (thus losing immersion), and those tapes were disturbing - like a dark web urban legend. The heartbeat and whispers really added a sense of urgency to get the heck out of there. I'm not a big fan of timed, escape room-style games, but I loved this one. Great job Alex!
I really enjoyed playing this. For a PT-style game, I appreciated the added depth and story instead of the typical "walk around in a loop and wait for something scary to pop up" kind of gameplay. The voice acting and music were well done and that ending was a bit of a tearjerker. A couple of small critiques: the camera movement seemed jittery and there were times I couldn't move my character during a suspenseful event, so I felt like I had missed something. Other than those two things, this was a great short psychological horror experience.
I like what I see so far. Creepy atmosphere and the concept of being trapped in a crazy family member's house is pretty disturbing. The only critique I have is the text is a bit small and the shadow of the character would obscure the notes. Other than that, I enjoyed this game and look forward to Chapter 2.
You did a great job turning a mundane night on the job into a suspense-filled horror experience. The story was decent - I liked the concept of a serial killer who was "cleansing the town" of bad actors, but both endings fell a bit flat and they felt more like a cliffhanger rather than a true ending. Other than that, I had a lot of fun playing this game.
I love horror games centered around the dark web, and this one did not disappoint. The game was intense with a good story and nice voice acting. You did a great job building suspense without the need for endless jumpscares to push the horror aspect. All-in-all, an awesome game - I really enjoyed playing this and would love to see more like it.
I really enjoyed playing this. You did a great job creating a creepy atmosphere without relying on jumpscares to push the horror aspect of the game. The puzzles added a bit of a challenge, but weren't so difficult that they broke the immersion of the game. All-in-all, a nice psychological horror experience.
I really enjoyed this game. Graphics were aesthetically pleasing and the jumpscares got me pretty good. You did a great job turning a peaceful atmosphere into something suspenseful and dark. There were a couple of small glitches in the game (timestamps 15:05 & 19:44), but nothing game breaking. All-in-all, a nice psychological horror experience.
This game was pretty intense. The sounds of the chainsaw had me at the edge of my seat and the changing corridors added a sense of desperation to escape. With every turn, I expected the killer to be waiting for me. The style of graphics gave the game a dark and gritty look and the jumpscares were well placed without being over the top.
Just a couple of critiques: I ran into a bit of a problem with the vent towards the end of the game - sometimes it would fall in a way that blocked my access to the key and I couldn't move the vent to reach it. I also found that the sprint bar was a bit on the short side, especially when it came to running for my life to get out of the cells.
All-in-all, I enjoyed your game - it was a nice short horror experience.
Pretty cool alpha. Loved the gritty atmosphere and playing from the father's perspective was a nice touch - it really added to the suspense at the end. The only critique I have is the phone didn't work past the first instruction. All-in-all, an enjoyable horror experience - would definitely play a full version of this game.
A creepy and surreal short horror experience. The atmosphere was well done - moving through the dark, tight hallways made me feel somewhat claustrophobic which really added to the tension. The game didn't rely on lots of jumpscares, but it did a good job building up the fear of "what's around the corner." I thought the use of the flashlight to move to another area was pretty cool too. All in all, a spooky horror game - I look forward to seeing other projects from you.
Awesome game! I played the first John Doe and enjoyed it, but the additional endings and change in artwork for this one were really cool. At first I thought playing through 7 endings would get a bit repetitive, but that wasn't the case in this game and with each new playthrough I was at the edge of my seat waiting to see what surprises John Doe had in store. All-in-all, a very creepy short horror experience and I hope to see more like this - great job!
I've played both demos now and I have to say, this is shaping up nicely. The atmosphere and story is really creepy and I can't wait to find out more about the frog cult. Oh, and I got a kick out of the Pink Floyd reference at the end of this demo. I will definitely be buying this game once it's released on Steam.
A strange game, but I enjoyed it. My personal takeaway was that it was an abstract vision of human-caused ecological disaster and the subsequent loss of all that is good on the Earth (like the fading away of the playground towards the end).
I could be totally wrong, but that was how I interpreted the game. It was beautiful, yet somber and the music really set the tone. Nice work Mt. Berkoo.
This was a fun horror game. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be pretty intense. Once the lights went out and the music started, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for something to come at me. You did a nice job turning a normal, every day task into a nightmare. Keep up the good work, Nihilanth!
Awesome game! Graphics, story and narration were all well done. You did a great job creating a game with a "classic horror" vibe - I felt like I was playing in an old episode of The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits. Looking forward to see what the other casefiles have in store. Keep up the good work, ProfessorStitch!
A nice and creepy visual novel. I enjoyed reading The Tragic Tale of Leth Winters and the overall atmosphere of the game was well executed. Just a little critique: I think adding a bit more to the dialogue with Erin along with some unsettling events would have made this more suspenseful. Other than that, great work and I look forward to seeing more.
This a really good-looking game. I loved the black and white with pops of color style - reminds me of the game "The Cat Lady." The Inn was creepy with a couple of good scares, but a little lacking of story. The only other critique I have is the audio was a bit loud for the radios but hard to understand with the monster.
Awesome horror game Alex! Playing in the second person through the Super 8 film was a really nice touch - it made the game stand out from the typical haunted house experience. Both atmosphere and story were unsettling. You did a great job delivering a creepy horror experience without the use of jumpscares. I really enjoy your games, and look forward to seeing what you have in store for future projects.
Very cool horror game. The atmosphere of the house and your use of sounds was unsettling and the scares were done well. I really enjoyed that ending - you did a great job with the cinematics. The secret ending gave me a bit of a laugh. BTW: nice choice of C.D. in the glove compartment. :) Hope to see more games from you in the future.
Pretty cool game. The story itself touches on real-life issues such as substance and domestic abuse which I thought made the game more disturbing and tragic. I like how the story unfolds as the character walks through the house over and over again - it gave me the feeling that he was in some kind of purgatory. Scares were well done and not too over the top. Overall, a nice short horror experience.
This was a fun and strange horror experience. The few scares that were in the game are well done and that scene with the whisper really got me good - it felt like someone was actually behind me and I couldn't help but turn around. You did a nice job creating the blurred lines between reality and nightmare for poor Sleepless Kevin. I really enjoyed this game.
Very scary and tense game. I like how you placed the keys in random places throughout the house so the player is forced to search all rooms instead of going back to the exact same areas in a new game. The stranger was absolutely terrifying - trying to avoid him was a heart pounding experience. I think an option to hide would have added a nice touch of suspense to the game. Oh, and one more thing - I loved the music at the end of the game. Well done VicDeathMetal!
A fun short horror experience. The only critique I have is there's really no story - I'm curious to know why the protagonist hates Halloween, does Dexter have any backstory, and what the monster is and why it's lurking in the apartment? Other than that, I think this game looks and plays pretty well and has potential to be a full-version game. Keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed the first demo, but I absolutely LOVE this new playable teaser - it looks/plays great and is incredibly terrifying! The only small issue I had was navigating the gurney, but I suppose that is what dragging a gurney around by yourself would be like in the real world. From what I have seen so far, I think this game is gearing up to be the best horror game of 2022 and I cannot wait to play the full version. Excellent demo!
This was a fun and tense short horror. Entering a bathroom in your games makes me very nervous - LOL. I also got a kick out of the intro and the dancing doctor. I've really enjoyed the demos you have put out so far - can't wait to see more of these or a full version game in the future. Great work Max Horror!
This was a great psychological horror. I loved the graphics and the disturbing story of the family's descent into madness. The description of the son's decomposition along with the mother's denial was very unsettling. The increasing tension/dysfunction in the family really had me rooting for poor Gloria. A beautiful and dark game/visual novel - I hope to see more.
