Of particular note are the novelties relating to the foundation by the merchant Pau Martí and the constitution of the Causa Pia for the maintenance of the monastery and the community, as well as some data referring to the layout of the convent by Friar Fabià de Vic and its construction by the contractor Francisco de Soriano and further details of the history of the building and the community.

Between 1965 and 1981, two pillars bearing the decrees for Archippe (SEG XXXIII 1035-1041) and six blocks with monumental letters were found in this area, having been re-employed in later structures. As for their original place and function, the archaeological context provides only elusive hints, but the indications in one of Archippe’s decrees as well as the dimension and content of the monumental inscription justify the assumption that both pillars and blocks could have been part of the same public building, perhaps the still unidentified bouleuterion. Hence, this paper intends to reconsider the archaeological situation of the « area of the Roman Baths » and propose a new topographical interpretation, pending the resumption of investigations on this « forgotten » part of the archaeological site. Moreover, another section of this study is devoted to the re-establishment of the text engraved on the blocks, whose letters seem to preserve palaeographical features referring to early Hellenistic times.
