Participants were randomly assigned to either creatine group (CR) or placebo group (PG). The Creatine group (CR) received creatine monohydrate supplementation for 15 days with a dose of 20 g for the first 5 days and 5 g for the following 10 days. Maltodextrine was given in the same amount to the placebo group (PG). Significant differences were found for 20 m. sprint, squat jump, 30 s. repetitive vertical jumping, Wingate anaerobic power and capacity test results (p<0,05), but no significant performance changes were found for right and left hand grip strength and back strength results after the creatine supplementation. No significant changes in the placebo group were observed in all performance tests following the 15 days experiment.

Participants were randomly assigned to either experimental group or placebo group. While the experimental group was ingested sodium bicarbonate supplementation (NaHCO 3), the placebo group was ingested sodium chloride (NaCl). Participants were first tested using a standard incremental treadmill test to define the blood lactate profile. Running speeds corresponding to fixed blood lactate concentrations of 4.0 mmol.l-1 were calculated using linear interpolation. The maximal lactate steady state was determined from 30-min constant-speed treadmill runs. The maximal lactate steady state was defined as fastest running speed that produced no more than a 1.0 mmol.l-1 increase in blood lactate concentration between 10 and 30 min of exercise. Paired Samples T test was used to determine whether there are significant blood lactate and heart rate differences in before and after sodium bicarbonate ingestion. Test results showed a significant decrease in the post-supplement heart rate responses given by the sodium bicarbonate group at the 10th, 20th and 30th min of the lactate steady state exercise (p<0.05). Although an increase was recorded in the lactate responses of the experimental group, the only significant difference was recorded at the 20th min of the exercise after the sodium bicarbonate ingestion (p<0.05). In the control group, on the other hand, no significant difference was recorded in the pre-test and post-test values of any variables (p>0.05).

To this aim, individual info form and Turkish form of life satisfaction questionnaire, developed by Diener, Emmos, Larsen and Griffin (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Kokler (1991) 4, were administered ,as a online, to 254 students from Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Afyon Kocatepe University, Dumlupınar University and Karadeniz Technical University with voluntary participation. Depending on the data on gender, smoking, universities, alchool using and family income were applied Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test. The tests results indicated that the data are not normally distributed. Depending on the data; for gender, smoking, alchool using Mann-Whitney U test, for universities and family income Kruskal-Wallis tests were used at the level of α=0.05 significance. The result showed that there was no significant differences on genders ((Z0.05; 1,616; P>0.05), smoking (Z0.05; -1,556; P>0.05) and universities (X2 (3); 0,.370; P>0.05) according to life satisfaction levels. On the other hand; alchool using (Z0.05; -2,008; P<0.05) and family income (X2 (3); 10,257; P<0.05) scores were found significant depending on life satisfaction levels.

Materials and Methods; 25 active athletes voluntarily attended the study. The subjects with 170-180 pulse/min pulse pedalled for 9 minutes in which intensity was increased at 3-minute intervals on 170 Ergometric Bicycle in the exercise applied. The blood lactate measurements of the athletes were determined by the Lactate Scout device applied before and after exercise. The hot and cold applications of the subjects; the 1st test was applied by staying in the cold pool (10°C -15 °C) passively for 10 minutes soon after the exercise. The 2nd test was applied 1 week later by giving hot water application (37°C -40 °C) to the athletes for 10 minutes after the same exercise was done. Oneway Anova at the level of α=0.05 test was applied in the analysis of data and Tukey test was done betwee...
