About Seoul Citizen’s Hall

Citizens are welcome to visit the Seoul Citizen’s Hall on the 1st and 2nd basement floors of Seoul City Hall. It serves as a space to enjoy comfortably quality performances and exhibitions, hold meetings with neighbors, and participate in Seoul’s municipal administration.

Designed with the concept of “empty” and “flexible” space, the Seoul Citizen’s Hall can accommodate diverse citizen-led activities for various purposes, such as planning, exhibitions, performances, discussions, education, relaxation, and play. It is easily accessible from Seoul Plaza, City Hall Station and Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station.

* Closed on New Year’s Day, the day of Korean New Year and Chuseok, as well as the last Sunday of every month

About BI

Our brand identity, represented by an “ear,” visually and intuitively conveys that the Seoul Citizen’s Hall is a space for listening and communication. Light blue symbolizes hope and truth, and it also signifies a space where citizens’ hopes can be discussed with sincerity.

About Mincheongi the mascot

Mincheongi (‘min’ signifies ‘citizens’ and ‘cheong’ means ‘listening’), created in the shape of an ear to symbolize listening to citizens, is the mascot of the Seoul Citizen’s Hall, always attentive to citizens’ voices.
