[edit]From Mongolian ᠰᠠᠭᠠᠳᠠᠭ (saɣadag), from Proto-Mongolic *saxadag (“a bow-case, quiver”).[1] Cognate of Azerbaijani sadaq, Bashkir һаҙаҡ (haźaq), Kalmyk саадг (saadg), Kazakh садақ (sadaq), Kyrgyz саадак (saadak), Southern Altai саадак (saadak), Turkmen sagdak, and Uzbek sadoq.
