[edit]The inessive singular of the stem kumo-, from Proto-Finnic *kuma-, from Proto-Uralic *kuma. Related to Estonian kumm, kummuli, Ingrian kummullaa, Karelian kumata, Livonian kumālõz, Veps kumaita, Votic kummollaa, Northern Sami gobmát, Lule Sami gåmodit, Erzya комамс (komams), Eastern Mari кумык (kumyk), Udmurt [script needed] (ke̮miń), Northern Khanty ҳөмта (ḥømta), Hungarian homlít, Tundra Nenets [script needed] (χawa-), Nganasan [script needed] (kamagu) and Taz Northern Selkup [script needed] (k͕aməttä).
