[edit]Pronunciation
[edit]Etymology 1
[edit]Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese 子 (SV: tử). Some dictionaries (such as Thiều Chửu's) consider it as Sino-Vietnamese, but the sắc tone in Tí is unlikely to be derived from the Middle Chinese rising tone, compared to the likely hỏi tone in tử. See also Mẹo, Thìn, Ngọ, Mùi.
