The first point on the list is currently:
- 1765 - The Parliament of Great Britain passed the Stamp Act, adding fuel to the growing separatist movement in colonial America.
But it should rather be:
- 1765 - The Parliament of Great Britain passed the Stamp Act, adding fuel to the growing separatist movement in colonial America.

- I didn't know Parliament of Great Britain is no longer a redirect. Re-wikified as suggested. Thanks, Domino theory. -- PFHLai 16:12, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

World Water Day
[edit]Not sure if I am doing this right but I would like to nominate the article on World Water Day to be mentioned under "on this day..." on 22 March 2017. It was mentioned 10 times already; the last time was in 2014. We are running a virtual edit-a-thon in the 2 days just before then and I am hoping that the edit-a-thon will result in further improvements to this article. Details about the edit-a-thon here. EMsmile (talk) 11:08, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- @EMsmile: The article is not yet eligible. The 2013, 2014, and 2015 sections have no references, so I added a {{refimprove}} tag. —howcheng {chat} 07:07, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- thanks for getting back to me User:Howcheng. If I worked on the article today, would it still be in time to have it considered? EMsmile (talk) 10:21, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- @ User:Howcheng: Myself and a few others have made a load of improvements to the article on World Water Day. Could you please check it again and if it's good enough put it in the system so that it appears on 22 March for "on this day"? Thanks! EMsmile (talk) 14:46, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- @EMsmile: The prior to 2007 section could also use more references (several paragraphs have none). Thanks. —howcheng {chat} 16:24, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Howcheng: I was hoping you would let us off the hook for those. They are more than 10 years ago and sadly, a lot of the links which went to the UN Water website are broken for those ones from prior to 2007. I can scour the internet to see if I find any pdf files that are still available. Will also contact someone at UN Water. So apart from that, is the article OK now to be in the "on this day" section? How much time do we still have to improve it further before a final decision on inclusion or not inclusion is made? EMsmile (talk) 17:24, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- OK, found a reference for this, I will add this link to the older ones: http://www.unwater.org/campaigns/world-water-day/en/ EMsmile (talk) 17:51, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- https://archive.org// can help you fix old links that no longer work. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:52, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks Doc James, I think I have fixed them all now (manually). @Howcheng: could you take another look? A lot better now. EMsmile (talk) 21:37, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- OK, we're good, but don't be surprised if someone come by and tags it with {{primary sources}}, which would take it out of contention again. —howcheng {chat} 23:59, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
