Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Please also explain your edits using an WP:Edit summary. Thanks. AA2

[edit]

Hi. Please be aware of Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2 before making further reverts. Yerevan is one of the articles covered by that arbitration. Also, mind WP:OR. All edits must be based on reliable sources. In this case, the term used by the Russian census is Azerbaijani Tatar. So please stop reverting verifiable info. Thanks. Grandmaster 20:32, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In Wikipedia article we do not include personal ideas or beliefs, we refer to reliable sources. Since Erivan was a part of the Russian empire, only Russian census could be a reliable source about its population at that time. Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary uses the term Azerbaijani Tatar (Население Э. (17345 мужчин и 11688 женщин) слагается из русских — 2 %, армян — 48 % и адербейджанских татар — 49 %; остальные — грузины, евреи и проч.) So we go along with what the source says, not what you believe is right. If you continue to edit war, I will have to ask for the admin intervention. Grandmaster 06:52, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not threatening, but you were here for about a year now, and should know that there are certain rules that everyone must observe. I'm just trying to explain you that edit warring is not acceptable, and especially over such a minor issue. Take care. Grandmaster 11:48, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Iran and Hezbollah

[edit]

The sources for Iran and Hezbollah are in the article and also a lengthy discussion was held on the talk page of the article at the end of which a decision was made to include them, so please don't go against consensus, thank you. If you find a proper source for the CIA, Mossad and others than I will myself add it. However, at this point the sources you provided are highly unreliable and dubious. The point of the CIA especially was also discussed at length on the talk page and it was ascertained that they are only in an observer role at the moment in Syria where they are still deciding wether to help the rebels due to the presence of some Islamist elements. Start a new discussion on the talk page if you have a problem with all of this. EkoGraf (talk) 21:51, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012

[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Aleppo. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Note that you must not make anything as M that isn't clearly minor, eg linking, spelling, etc. Marking a major change as M might be seen as an attempt to get editors to overlook it. You should also use edit summaries. Dougweller (talk) 07:08, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aleppo situation for Armenians

[edit]

I noticed you said on the aleppo battle talkpage that you were an Armenian Syrian. The news media focuses to much on what rebels and activists in Aleppo instead of what the locals say. Can I ask you what is the situation like in Aleppo for the locals? Has life collapsed or is it still going on. I also saw reports of Armenian women and children fleeing to Armenia for safety while the men stayed behind to guard their houses. If the government wins are they planning on coming back or stay in Armenia permenantely. Thanks for your time 62.31.145.100 (talk) 16:38, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Qatar University Stadium (planned)

[edit]

Hello, Preacher lad,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Qatar University Stadium (planned) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Qatar University Stadium (planned) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

A tag has been placed on Category:Lists of hotels in Armenia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and it is not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. I've not reverted (?most of?) your related changes where links now point to disambiguation pages/redirects on the assumption that you will apply for the moves, that they go ahead, and that eventually everything will end up pointing to the correct page. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 15:24, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Armavir a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sisian, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Weightlifting (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Alteration in references

[edit]

Hi there, I just want to know why have you altered some Church URL's in Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East regarding Arm.Evang. Churches in Syria? Har.M (talk) 13:41, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Har.M (talk), I did not get your point. Do you mean that the Facebook page is considered as a reference for the church itself? Wikipedia is not based on Facebook pages. If you have an official website or any other trusted link, please do not hesitate to mention it next to the church, as I did in the case of Bethel Church. Thanks.--Preacher lad (talk) 14:18, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In reference to the Bethel Church, I didn't refer a Facebook Page for it. I clearly linked its website to it.. you just unlinked it and tagged its wiki page; please get your facts right. Moreover, a Facebook page could be a reference to a Church as long as it is powered by the Pastor or the Elders of the Church. I'm endeavoring to make things easy for the people, you're just exacerbating the problem. I'm sorry.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Preacher lad. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. CptViraj (Talk) 02:54, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Ararat-Moskva Yerevan logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Municipalities of Armenia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. A tag has been placed on Category:Association football training grounds in Israel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Liz Read! Notice

The article Voskevaz Winery has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Couldn't find any reliable independent coverage. Wineterroirs.com is a non-professional blog that doesn't meet SPS as far as I can tell, and the other citations are to its own website. This looked promising, except that it's a press release (scroll to bottom). I don't speak Armenian but I ran the Armenian name through Google and got nothing substantive either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 07:30, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
