{{helpme}} I'm preparing the article STLSoft as User:Martin Moene/STLSoft Further I've uploaded the logo Image:Stlsoft.jpg with Article referring to User:Martin_Moene/STLSoft. Now the image isn't displayed anymore and the warning "...it is not used in any articles" appears.

Please can someone indicate how preparing an article with images in userspace is properly done?

A tag has been placed on List of help authoring tools requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TallNapoleon (talk) 06:01, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Annotated list or sortable table for List of help authoring tools?

[edit]

{{helpme}} I'm working on the List of help authoring tools and I'm unsure if an annotated list is to be prereferred over a sortable table to present the information. See also Talk:List of help authoring tools. I do want to include some information on each tool to give an idea about the tool's capabilities (as in List of unit testing frameworks). This may result in a rather long annotation. On the other hand, the table may be handy but not very inviting to read. The annotations I've found are not longer than a single line. Were I to use an annotated list, would something like the following be fine, acceptable, unacceptable, or wrong?

I'd appreciate other ideas and suggestions too. Martin Moene (talk) 11:30, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the annotated list would be fine. After you get furthur on the list put your reasoning on how you did it on the talk page so other editors know what you were trying to accomplish. Cheers GtstrickyTalk or C 12:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Type Tunnel pattern has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 12:11, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
