Catch 22

[edit]

You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:

Your IP address is in a range which has been blocked on all wikis.

The block was made by Vituzzu (meta.wikimedia.org). The reason given is leaky colo + open proxy at 192.96.205.155.

Start of block: 16:14, 24 April 2015 Expiration of block: 16:14, 24 April 2020 You can contact Vituzzu to discuss the block.

ummmm - no, you can't... the block prevents you from posting to Vituzzu, too.

Unblock

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My provider is Sprint. The current IP address shown in my device is 26.157.163.81 ; I believe the blocked proxy is caused by the VPN used by AnalyzeMe app (which is used by NBC to track its Olympics coverage viewers). Darr247 (talk) 18:14, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

26.157.163.81 belongs to the DoD and does not appear to be blocked. We don't normally unblock VPNs due to rampant abuse, but we can at least look at it if you include the IP address of that. I do suggest disabling your VPN if you wish to edit the Wikipedia. You won't be prevented from reading, though. Yamla (talk) 19:06, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No... that's OK; the Olympics is almost over, and I'll be uninstalling the AnalyzeMe app shortly thereafter. Darr247 (talk) 20:59, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
