Please stop removing the formatting on numbers to remove the , for thousands. Also stop removing conversion templates that auto convert units such as metres into other units, there is a reason we use those templates. Additionally you are making edits to the articles that are not supported by the references, if you are going to update figures you must supply a reliable source for the new figures as per WP:REFERENCE. Hello, I am pleased you got in touch as I was thinking of contacting you so that we do not waste our time amending the same pages. I would prefer working together to working at cross purposes. The reason I removed a small number of commas within numbers is that the relevant sources do not use them and I do not think Wikipedia should contradict the sources. A small point perhaps but there was a reason for the edits. I have not removed commas for the sake of it or where I have no relevant information. The reason I removed some of the auto conversions is because they gave the wrong figure, e.g. 150 metres converts to 492 feet not 490 feet. Furthermore, my view is that unit conversions are useful at times but need not be imposed every time a figure is quoted. This is the usual practice with abbreviations - give the full text once and use the abbreviation thereafter - otherwise the text becomes cumbersome and repetitive. Regarding references, I do not know which edits you mean but I will look again later and add references where possible. I updated some figures to correct them and I had thought that correct figures would be preferable to out-of-date ones with old references. However, in general I accept your point that it is better to refer to sources where possible and I will try to include them in future. More updates or corrections could be made but I thought it best to do a few at a time. Alda4444 (talk) 00:43, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Canterbury Tail. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Canterbury Tail talk 00:06, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
