[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Cloud computing issues, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 09:42, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
NSW state election
[edit]I'm not giving you a formal warning right now because I believe you're acting in good faith, but this edit was completely unacceptable. Please read WP:COPYVIO carefully and familiarise yourself with it. This kind of editing can see you instantly blocked.
Regarding the content of the edit, I would suggest raising it on the talk page first. A policy section is probably not a bad idea, but an equivalent amount to what you added on a single policy would be a huge undue weight issue. The major policies of all the major parties should be able to be summarised in a few paragraphs. Frickeg (talk) 12:07, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
- I was just about to raise this issue, and remove the content, but got beaten to it by Frickeg. I too assume good faith and feel the edits were well intentioned, but incompatible with Wikipedia's policies and mission (plagiarism is still however a rather big academic faux pas, and should always be avoided). Again, I agree that a policy section outlining where the parties stand on major election issues would be a good idea, but it should be concise and balanced. Raising some possible inclusions on the talk page with sources would be a good start. ColonialGrid (talk) 12:12, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Demons - Imagine Dragons (Cover by Jasmine Thompson) - Sample.ogg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Demons - Imagine Dragons (Cover by Jasmine Thompson) - Sample.ogg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The file File:Votes and Seats for NSW Lower House.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
orphaned image, no information on an encyclopedic use, easy to recreate
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
