Wikited is interested in documenting early missile testing by the Army and Air Force during the 1950s and 1960s when the cold war with the Soviets was in effect. I served on both the Atlantic Missile Range (actually called the AFETR or the Air Force Eastern Test Range) and the Pacific Missile Range and participated directly in nuclear testing during Project Dominic at Johnston Island. I also spent my career working with U.S Navy submarines, targets, deep submersibles, and torpedoes, as well as working with the Army's National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. I have extensive documentation collected during my fifty years involvement in the cold war effort.-- In addition I served on minesweepers and a destroyer in the U.S. Navy as a radioman and tracked Sputnik 1, as did all other radiomen in the Navy at the time, to determine if Sputnik 1 was actually orbiting the earth.

During the course of my travels with the Government, I've been to over forty countries. Now that I am retired, I want to record some of these significant important events before they become lost to history.

A case in point is the Missile Test Project (MTP) run by RCA. This was a HUGE and EXPENSIVE project run by the U.S. Air Force. I thought I could look on the internet and find its history, but all I find are retirements and obits of those who served the project. And, keep in mind, if we did not have MTP doing its thing at the time, the Soviets would have clearly gained technical superiority on the U.S.

I have lived in and am mostly familiar with Philadelphia, the New Jersey coast, and Florida. I have an MBA from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.

As is apparent from my interest in minesweepers and other Navy ships, I've served on several steel-hulled minesweepers and on the USS The Sullivans, plus other assignments while in the U.S. Navy back in the 1950's.
