Why is the Mercedes AMG navbox being reverted to mercedes benz in formula one when it should be the works team name. Me12356 (talk) 10:29, 01 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We've discussed this before, please don't feign ignorance. The title reflects Mercedes' full involvement in the sport, as does the content of the box, not just the less-than-a-year-old current name of the racing team. Pyrope 11:57, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The new design is quite a akward looking one and their was nothing wrong with the one before? Daniels Renault Sport (talk) 10:44, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mind the new layout, however it is inconsistent with the templates for the other teams/constructors who have had large gaps in their participation (e.g. {{Honda F1}}, {{Renault F1}} and {{Alfa Romeo F1}}). DH85868993 (talk) 01:29, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Scope

[edit]

The titlebar text for this template ("Mercedes-Benz in Formula One") doesn't quite match the contents, which also include elements from Mercedes' pre-F1 "Grand Prix racing" activities in the 1930s. So I think we either need to change the titlebar text to "Mercedes-Benz in Grand Prix racing" (which is my preference), or remove the non-F1 elements from the template. Thoughts? I eneded up changing the titlebar text to "Mercedes-Benz in Formula One and Grand Prix racing", so it could link to both Mercedes-Benz in Formula One (which covers the F1 activities) and Mercedes-Benz in motorsport (which covers the pre-F1 Grand Prix racing activities). I also modified the two sub-headings. DH85868993 (talk) 12:58, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
