Francophone not French Republic symbolism?

[edit]

The image used in this template for the French language is the flag of the French Republic, not the French language. Clearly, this flag is not a symbol of the world communities who use French even as a first language such as in Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and so on.

Could someone find the image for the Francophonie symbol and adapt it to this template? --CJ Withers 20:54, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. Done! Xander 01:51, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:IPA for French

[edit]

I added a link to the article Wikipedia:IPA for French to the template. It is succinct and perhaps much more useful for Wikipédiens than the link to the appropriately verbose, complex, and lengthy French phonology article. I believe its addition is very beneficial.
