[edit]The Google Maps coordinates for Wuxi are incorrect. That location is near Fuzhou in Fujian Province. Wuxi is nowhere near there. Someone please correct this.

Anyone knows how to get rid of the dotted line boxes in the history part please do it. I have not idea where to change that setting.
"The center of the city is filled with modern high rise buildings which may destroy the traditional atmosphere for one thousand years and the market is being redeveloped in a postmodern style."
lol, this is very opinionated. It also seems to predict the future, guessing that the traditional atmosphere will be destroyed for only a certain amount of time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.65.47.156 (talk) 15:41, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Where's the Beef?
[edit]This article does not deliver encyclopedic English; although the attempt was good, there is still too much subtle Chinglish in evidence. Further, it reads a bit like some semi-propagandist/travel booklet piece. This is particularly bad in view that there are no proper references or citations to be found -- nothing is backed up! IMO, this entry needs considerable revision. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.219.6.120 (talk) 15:55, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
error
[edit]The red dot locating Wuxi on the map is erroneously in Fujian. kwami (talk) 02:26, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Etymology
[edit]Wuxi literally means "the capital of Wu (state)."
What? 吴 and 无 are totally different characters. Is this a theory that I was not previously aware of, a linguistic distortion (e.g. originally containing 吴 in the name, but shifted over time?), or a complete fabrication? F1anders (talk) 02:33, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
