I believe {{Largest cities of Russia}} is malfunctioning. It is causing a second set of references to be display on the articles pages in which it is transcluded. Does anyone know why?--- Coffeeandcrumbs 00:42, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

@Coffeeandcrumbs: Looks like the template is just formatted with references, which I don't think is allowed. Any references inserted below the {{Reflist}} will automatically appear at the bottom of the page, so I'm not sure how this is ever supposed to work correctly. I removed the template. Why there are as many as five (5) photos of MIBC in this article, including collage? It's not the main tourism object of Moscow. It's not an ads of Moscow International Business Center! (And for me, as a muscovite, it's bad ugly copy of scyscrapers of USA or other Western countries). I think 2-3 (including collage) is enough. --Brateevsky (talk to me) 17:57, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

As a former editor of Moscow, this article has to be one of the worst city articles I have seen. There is way too many pictures that makes this article feel like a collage. Everything is disorganized. There are many headings that are not needed. The reason why the MIBC is popular because they're skyscrapers and are among the tallest in Europe. - 祝好，Sinoam(聊天) 01:32, 17 February 2021 (UTC)

Moscow Innovation Cluster

I have removed the paragraph about the Moscow International Cluster. I do not think it is notable enough to occupy so much space in the article about the city. It also is written as a promotional material and might be a copyright violation. Still the thing may desrve a short article on its own. Alex Bakharev (talk) 23:16, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

  • I have removed paragraphs about Moscow Innovation Cluster (yet again) and Moscow Electronic School both projects are very minor and I do not think they should be in the city article. They also are very promotional by the style and possibly are copy violations of the press releases. After fixing those problems I would encourage the authors to create articles about those projects. If you think the paragraphs should be here, in the city article please argue it on the talk first Alex Bakharev (talk) 02:19, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Categorising by date first mentioned

As the date of establishment is not known, should the city be categorised by the date of the earliest mention in historical records? There was a strong consensus not to categorise by the date first mentioned in records. I have removed this article from 1147 establishments. However, it is probably helpful for it to remain in category:12th-century establishments in Russia. – Fayenatic London 10:21, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

Volders megacity

Sister cities

Portal Europe without Asia?

Moscow and Russia are in Asia, not in Europe (by larger, much larger part). External links section contains Europe only (as continent, template portals). This bias of joining Russia to Europe is present elsewhere in the world... Turkey is, following same pattern, in Asia. --5.43.81.203 (talk) 00:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Hi in the transportation section, under metro, in the third paragraph the article mentions park pobedy station as one of the deepest in the world, at 84 meters, and that it has the longest escalator in europe, both comments are INCORRECT, the actual real depth of the station is 73 meters! A huge difference! It is not even in the top 10 deepest stations of the world, there are several stations at over 80, 90 and even 100 meters! The two deepest stations arsenalna in kiev and Hongyancun in china are 36 meters deeper!! Thats half the depth of the park pobedy station! You can verify this from the official website, and the second comment about the escalator, it’s not even the longest escalators in moscow, yes it is long at 127 meters, but definitely NOT the longest, even moscow has longer escalators, for example the one at the station marina roscha at 130m, there are several longer escalators in st petersburg at 137, and kiev, can somebody please fix this fake information, thank you! 2600:1012:B181:BD37:ECE6:8592:AC6E:80FB (talk) 19:58, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

Most populous city proper outside Asia

Based on the latest respective results of national censuses, Moscow, with over 13 million residents, is, as of the time of writing, the most populous city proper(as distinct from a wider urban or metropolitan area) outside Asia, particularly in view of Sao Paulo's population decline to under 12 million residents.
