If someone is controversial, that should be noted, but someone's biography should not open with a paragraph-long rant in favor of vaccines.

That paragraph is laced with rhetoric, like the phrase "a dangerous quack cure", which has no place in a factual biographical article on Wikipedia. Note that the phrase "dangerous quack cure" doesn't even occur in the article ABOUT chelation therapy.

Compare to the introduction section on Chairman Mao, who opponents hold responsible for the deaths of 40+ million people. If you were to quote "sources" about Mao, his intro might describe him as inhuman monster or "worse than Hitler". But you can see how even-handed the treatment of even the most controversial figure of the 20th century is:

Jenny McCarthy is far less controversial than this. Even in the vaccine debate, she's mostly a footnote. The intro should give an objective overview of her life and career, and detailed information about her activism (and reactions to her activism) should be reserved for the "activism" section.

The quickest fix would be to move that paragraph down into the Activism section, and have the intro end with "Masked Singer". The intro already mentions that she's an "anti-vaccine activist", which is an objective and non-rhetorical description.

Later, after being moved, that paragraph could be revised to be less rhetorical and more objective. The point should be to lay out the facts of her activism and reactions to it, not to make the case that she's wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.1.19.112 (talk) 20:25, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It could probably be toned down from the current version, but it shouldn't be whitewashed. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:43, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mtv

[edit]

Jenny McCarthy was on Mtv’s Remote Control. But it’s not listed in her filmography 2601:843:C300:A5A0:ADC7:18FC:5D81:84FB (talk) 03:41, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
