The name of this mount is Jabal Thawr, not Al-Thawr. The Hebrew scriptures should be considered here since Abraham story is linked to Shor. Abraham buried his wife Sarah and went continuosly towards the south, on the road of Shor. The Biblical scholars never identified this Shor because they depart from the presumed burial of Sarah in Palestine. They have to depart from Bethel, Mecca, not Egypt nor Palestine.
