Number of hits suffered
[edit]Is there any information about the hit(s) suffered by Kennet at Taikungtau? According to German sources, she was hit only by S 90, since the batteries did not open fire and Jaguar was in port the whole time. There was at least one hit – observed at the hight of the bridge, the German Commander stated. But an another hit – maybe that disabled the gun on the right – is often mentioned. Or was the observed hit that has damaged the gun? In a German book Die Kämpfe der Kaiserlichen Marine in den deutschen Kolonien; Erster Teil: Tsingtau (1935) are 6 hits mentioned. (Is this number an exaggeration.? --Andreas (talk) 06:33, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
