This article could really use a picture or two. --Selfish Gene 2009 (talk) 00:34, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No talk of the history of the use of crown molding.

I don't know the subject well enough GregCovey (talk) 02:58, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The title should be Moulding not Molding. Moulding is the industry Standard: https://www.vanmillwork.com/moulding-or-molding/ https://wmmpa.com/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.221.152.41 (talk) 15:01, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Title spelling

[edit]

Article uses "moulding" throughout, apparently the industry preferred term in both British and American English, however the title remains "molding". Should the title be changed, or the article text? 2600:8800:3713:2B00:647:E4B2:6C1D:9FA4 (talk) 15:25, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No purpose given, and why the void?

[edit]

The article does not explain why crown moulding is useful which allows for it to be purely decorative. In contrast, covering the wall between the skirting board and the dado can be to cover signs of rising damp. Also, the article explains a void can exist behind the moulding, but again does this have a purpose? The first sentence says it is decorative - although it can be used to hide cables - then again isn't hiding cables a decorative function too? It's not structural. (Hohum @) 16:52, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
