Genre Formatting

[edit]

Does anyone object to using a hlist for the genre on this page other than Dan56? I think using a hlist looks more uniform and tidy on the page opposed to using commas. - SmithN41V (talk) 20:05, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I object to your genre warring at this article. Read the article (body included); "gospel rap" is clearly verified by the sources cited in both sections. None of your genre changes ever were. Dan56 (talk) 19:27, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, Template:Infobox album#Genre says to delineate genres using commas; other items in this article are separated by commas, thus making the article's style internally consistent (WP:MOS) @SmithN41V: Dan56 (talk) 19:28, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

on sale as an album

@In ictu oculi: I don't think this source is enough to classified as a album. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 12:23, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Why, if it's being retailed on Amazon surely it's being retailed. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:59, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: Just because one source called it an album doesn't mean is one, other projects like If You're Reading This It's Too Late and Beautiful Thugger Girls are on Amazon.com, and nobody calling these projects as albums. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 14:02, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Those are both definitely albums. If Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late is on sale on Amazon.com for $10.00 it is a commercial project and is an album. Hence | Categories: | Young Thug albums | Atlantic Records albums | Albums produced by London on da Track | Albums produced by Scott Storch | Albums produced by Young Chop | 2017 mixtape albums |............ I think you are confusing the hip-hop "mixtape" genre and format with the fact that the commercial definition of any compilation, DJ-ed mixed or not, is an album. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:47, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: I didn't add those categories for one and I am not confused, I know about the difference between mixtapes and albums based on sources. Commercial or not, If You're Reading This It's Too Late is classified as a mixtape, even Drake said it himself per sources [1] [2] [3] [4]. And another thing, Amazon.com not even consider an reliable source for Wikipedia (WP:ALBUMAVOID), so I don't trust anything that considered as a unreliable source. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 15:55, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, "mixtape album" is a thing. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:00, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: Yes, that's a thing I guess, but that's still no excuse. No reliable sources calling Coloring Book or If You're Reading This It's Too Late an "mixtape album", even Metacritic called the projects mixtapes [5] [6]. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 17:35, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
