Thoughts on expansion
[edit]Nice work on the article! Thanks to and others. I am thinking of beefing up the first sections on their origins, experience, and significance, but not if you are already planning to do so. Are your interests mainly in the cemeteries? What are your thoughts? ch (talk) 18:19, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
More distinction between those in British and French service
[edit]Having read this article for the first time today, good overview I say. It would be helpful if distinction could be made in the statistics of the respective strength of the Chinese labour presence in the British and French armies, and their respective casualty figures. This article seems to concentrate more on the British CLC. Cloptonson (talk) 20:47, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
Shipping to the Front
[edit]Into the Service section I have lifted from the article on Military history of Canada during World War I a paragraph about CLC men who were secretly embarked at Victoria BC to train at Wood Head camp before being shipped overland, circumventing restrictions on Asian immigration. I accept this might not have been the only way but I would be happy to be proved wrong and for accounts of other routes to the front be added by those who can supply the details.Cloptonson (talk) 07:57, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

- I have put in a new external link to the In From The Cold Project against an updated figure for CLC casualties accepted for CWGC commemoration, but feel free to correct me if I am incorrect.Cloptonson (talk) 21:26, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
