Taira Uematsu (植松 泰良, Uematsu Taira, born September 26, 1983) is a Japanese professional baseball coach for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB).[1][2] He is from Tateyama City, Japan.[1] He attended Southern Illinois University, majoring in kinesiology.[1] He is the first full-time Japanese coach in MLB history.[3][4]
