Opening paragraph

I changed the opening paragraph. The "Don Edwards Refuge" has existed for a long time on the Newark side of the bay. Bair Island only recently was made part of the refuge, but it is on the Peninsula side of the bay, in Redwood City. Schmiteye 17:47, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
