  • 02:3602:36, 21 November 2018 diff hist −236 Joe Orton There were two" sources" of Orton: The Complete Plays. Removed the "Prick Up Your Ears" was originally titled "Prick Up Your Erse" reference because there was no citation and also because it was clearly a word-play on "Prick Up Your Arse". The Title was suggested by Halliwell (Prick Up Your Ears, Lahr, p22, 114). The word erse is not a northern word for arse and refers instead to an early term for the Scottish or Gaelic language { https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/erse }}

  • 01:3401:34, 24 October 2018 diff hist +1,333 Joe Orton I removed prolific after Dr Emma Parker (SFHEA Associate Professor in Post-War and Contemporary Literature as well as the curator of the the Joe Orton collection at Leicester she emailed me saying: "I think 'prolific' should be cut from the opening line. The body of work is actually considered to be quite small - 3 stage plays, 4 one act plays, a screenplay, the diary, and the posthumously published novels".I replaced it with "highly influential" and citations regarding Orton's legacy.
