Pin Oak Township is located in Madison County, Illinois, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,916 and it contained 1,379 housing units.[2]

History

Pin Oak Township was named from a grove of pin oak trees.[3]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.06 square miles (93.4 km2), of which 35.59 square miles (92.2 km2) (or 98.70%) is land and 0.47 square miles (1.2 km2) (or 1.30%) is water.[2]
