K.K. Electronics is a Holland electronic music project founded in 2003 that presents itself as if they were run by a pair of aliens playing synthesizer music on analog vintage synthesizers. In their work they use real noises from the universe, data from the Hubble telescope translated into sound.[1][2]

The project is also engaged in photography and painting, many projects become participants of festivals in different countries.[3]

In May 2023, the project was honored at the IndieFEST Film Awards for its music video[4][5], and was also included in the festival's official selection of experimental, dance and music films.[6]

Ratings and reviews

[edit]

Bunker Music Magazine

[edit]

In 2023, the music magazine Bunker reviewed the project, saying[3]:

Released single We Must Arm (By Winston Churchill)", the music video is based on a mix of old movie excerpts, political speeches and modern animation of alien visitors who want to take over our planet, but are only scouting the situation and the current mood of society. If you like experimental music, modern electro-pop and eccentric external images, you will definitely like this band. When you meet them, be ready for a complete immersion into another world, where the boundaries of reality and fiction are washed away under the influence of rhythmic and positive music!

— Bunker magazine

The magazine also added that as a kind of mascots K.K..Electronics chose the images of two aliens in their costumes the band members themselves are shown in the video "Come on Baby". In it, the simplest people try on virtual reality glasses[3], emotionally perceiving a new experience for them and traveling through fantastic worlds and other planets, while their reactions are investigated by representatives of other civilizations themselves.[3]

Music magazine sorock.ru

[edit]

In 2023, the magazine described the music project itself, saying[7]:

The musical style is like a futuristic soundscape, where electro-pop serves as the basis for the presentation of space characters. Clear musical rhythm shaping synthesized bass and electronic beats, creating a sound that literally makes the body move to the beat. Using state-of-the-art music software and equipment, they create multi-dimensional soundscapes that literally immerse the listener in their cosmic world.

— Music magazine sorock.ru

The review also added that equally impressive are their images. Space suits and alien makeup are an integral attribute of their art. It certainly adds to their charm and magnetism.[7]

The "We Must Arm (By Winston Churchill)" video offers viewers an unexpected twist as it mixes old movies, political news clips, and animated extraterrestrial beings. As you can see, the band's songs are not limited to the outer shell and rhythmic electronic music. Their videos are ambiguous and heartfelt, deeply philosophical and socially witty, sometimes ironic and sarcastic, which makes their work even more valuable. K.K. Electronics deserve the attention of all fans of modern electronic music and creative approach to music videos.
