Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo (born 26 August 2004) is an Indonesian badminton player.[1] She was the bronze medalists in the 2022 World Junior Championships and 2023 SEA Games. Wardoyo was ranked 1st in junior rankings for the girls' singles on 29 November 2022.[3]

Personal life

She is the younger sibling of an Indonesian badminton athlete, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.[4]

In April, Wardoyo competed for the first time in BWF Tour at the Orléans Masters in France, but had to lose in the second round from Singaporean player Yeo Jia Min.[5]

She was selected as a member of the Indonesian women's team at the Asia Team Championships in February,[6] and the Uber Cup in May, where the team won a bronze medal at the Asian Championships,[7] and then made history by reaching the final at the Uber Cup since 2008. In the final Indonesia lost to China 0–3.[8] In June, she reached the finals in the Australian Open, but had to accept defeat to Aya Ohori.[9]

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018,[12] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tour is divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300 (part of the HSBC World Tour), and the BWF Tour Super 100.[13]
