Organisation

Rotterdam Business School(RBS) was founded in 1990 as the International School of Economics Rotterdam, which developed study programmes in English. Today, RBS is part of Rotterdam University and offers three types of study programmes; Bachelor Programmes, Master Programmes and Special Programmes.

Education

The education is interwoven with the specific issues facing international businesses, so that students are confronted with current, concrete problems of the real business world. In order to understand these practical issues, a coherent frame of reference, theoretical concepts and analytical skills are necessary. Theoretical concepts, skills and practicals are offered to give students a firm foundation for tackling issues from professional practice. The RBS study programmes combine a foundation of knowledge and skills with a distinct practical orientation. The competency development is oriented towards diversity and the pragmatic approach typical of international business and management issues.

Student Centered

The focus is on the development towards the competencies important for the future practice of the individual student. Students are free to fill in details of their study modules with appropriate learning routes, thereby placing individual accents on their body of competencies to be acquired.
