The community church is St. Joseph's.[1] Lismire has a G.A.A club which have many All Ireland titles to their name. There are approximately 7000 people living in Lismire city and the surrounding farmland. Lismire is famous for being the birthplace of many saints and even the evangelists Mark and John. Lismire has a long and proud history when it comes to the battles they fought in.
