The result was keep. Going to be bold here, even though I have contributed. Subject met the subject specific guideline prior to the start of the AfD. No reason to keep this open for bureaucratic reasons as deletion rationale would no longer be appropriate were the article nominated today. Fenix down (talk) 07:26, 1 August 2016 (UTC)

Recreation of an article previously deleted by PROD. Concern was Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. This remains valid. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:38, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

- Delete - Fails WP:FOOTBALL having never played in a fully professional league and not enough significant coverage to pass WP:GNG. Will probably pass next month when the Championship season begins but can be easily restored when he does play. Kosack (talk) 07:09, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

- Keep - I would normally vote delete for players like this since the player fails NFOOTY as he has not played senior international football nor played in a fully professional league and there is no indication that he has garnered significant reliable coverage for any other achievements to satisfy GNG. However, by the time the AfD closes on 27th July, there will be less than two weeks before the Championship season starts. Given this player has played essentially every game for Ayr in the last three seasons, I see no reason to believe he will not continue to be an active member of the first team. This isn't a case of a young player who has never played who might. Fenix down (talk) 08:12, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

- Keep Absolutely absurd nomination. 93 appearances for Ayr, clearly still part of team, and someone nominates him days before season starts?!? Ignoring he'd already met WP:NFOOTBALL days earlier in Cup match. A complete and utter waste of everyone's time, even if he hadn't had the cup match! Nfitz (talk) 05:17, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
