Your question
editMy apologies my time online is limited at the moment. I hit a wrong key in my edit summary. The section to read is WP:COI. IF you have any further questions I can recommend that you try at the help desk if they don't have an answer I suspect that they will be able to direct you to a place that does. MarnetteD | Talk 19:40, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
The sentence, "a number of Annii during the Republic bore no cognomen" does not appear to need commas surrounding the phrase, "during the Republic." I admit a certain hesitancy with respect to the technical reasons for comma placement or the lack thereof, as I work chiefly by instinct and experience in this area. But I believe the applicable principle is that in this sentence, "during the Republic" is a restrictive clause that supplies essential detail to the preceding phrase, "a number of Annii." It is not a non-restrictive clause, and does not supply non-essential or parenthetical information to the sentence. I can see no reason why one would pause before and after the phrase. Having seen your work in other articles, I thought I would ask you to have another look. P Aculeius (talk) 13:40, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Policy page edit
editFYI, I've removed your text and placed it on the talk page. It wasn't immediately apparent that this was suitable for the lead paragraphs, so I've placed it up for discussion. (Please don't take it as a rejection of your idea; however, note that policy pages are often edited carefully and with much review due to their core importance to the project.) Cheers. --Ckatzchatspy 06:58, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Your recently added comment
editYou recently added a comment at the wp:verifiabiity talk page under the "support" section for the proposal. It was not clear whether you intended this to be only a response to the previous comment or also a listing under support. Could you clarify? Thanks. North8000 (talk) 10:33, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
editHi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.

- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:List of Midsomer Murders episodes, is considered bad practice, even if you meant it well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Peter Loader (talk) 12:10, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
- LOL. That was a mistake. I forgot I was reading a talk page until about 1 microsecond after pressing send. I did consider undoing the edit but as the stupidity would have remained in the history I didn't bother. PRL42 (talk) 12:27, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Mitt Romney's backside
editThese edits interject unnecessary and immature political opinion/criticism in an apolitical list. This no better than the old edits that called Stephen Hawking a "dirty lying cripple." There are better examples to portray the term that are more neutral and reliable. This is an op-ed commentary-- opinions aren't facts and the materials are not encyclopaedic. Regardless of political sentiment, the content borders on vandalism, and violates WP:NPOV and WP:SOAPBOX. Continue to add or re-add this violative material, and I will bring it to the attention of higher-ups for appropriate action.--ColonelHenry (talk) 13:11, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Tristan Farnon (character) moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Tristan Farnon (character), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. noq (talk) 14:16, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

editThe article Beautiful Minds (TV programme) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Appears to fail WP:NTV, tagged for notability since 2018
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DonaldD23 talk to me 12:44, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
