editA bowl of strawberries for you!
editHello, Matkatamiba! I'm a fan of your work, and discovered Mary Wright Plummer while catching up on your LJ columns. We'd love to have more biographies of women like the one you wrote.
I'm only spotting three articles so far that cite "A Dictionary of Eminent Librarians." Anytime you'd like to try writing another biography based on that work, just put it in your "Sandbox" page and leave a note at the Teahouse for someone to look it over. Once you have the format figured out, you can put your articles right into the main space and they will generally stay up. One of the key things to remember about Wikipedia is that you don't have to do everything yourself. Getting assistance from an established editor, as you did, is actually one of the very best ways to get started. Would be great to see you as a Wikipedian! We really need to update our articles about libraries ... and you certainly have the background to spot the topics that need to be filled in. Djembayz (talk) 01:43, 11 December 2013 (UTC) |
- Thanks a lot for your nice note! I'd like to find more time to create pages for famous female librarians or other women, but I'm afraid my editing time is limited. Also, when I drafted the Mary Wright Plummer page I happened to be in a library that had the Dictionary of Eminent Librarians. But normally that is not handy to me. But I appreciate your advice should I have time to create more pages.
