The ratings for French and Dutch are only for reading and translating into English. My ability to write in either language is quite poor. |
I like conciseness in articles, so most of my edits involve reworking existing text and removing redundant phrasing. I find the following phrases can normally be removed without any effect on the meaning of the text:
- It must be noted that
- Interestingly
- However,
- On the other hand
- Some point out that
- Of course,
- Obviously,
- It was reported that
- Sources revealed that
- In month/year it was announced that
- is known for
see WP:NOTED
I also try to move the focus of articles from the word to the topic. Removing phrases like:
- is a term that refers to
- describes
- refers to
see WP:NOTDIC
