The emphasis on the word "greatly" just caught my eye. Is that normal for wikipedia articles / should it be changed? Just wondering what the standard is for the use of italics on wikipedia.

The Last Radio

edit

This says that their upcomming album will be called the last radio. I have not heard this, can you cite the source? 67.86.119.65 (talk) 00:07, 17 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Redirect from "Chad Urmston"??

edit

Why does Chad Urmston redirect here...? If Brad Corrigan warrants his own article, why shouldn't Chad? If I could get a hold of Chad before his next concert, I might be able to write up a good article...Oh yeah, I'm a personal friend of Chad Urmston. :D I got tix to a concert he held in VA a while back. --HubHikari 03:37, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think unredirected the article would be best. He's a single person, not the entire band. --Thefirechild 03:19, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

POV?

"State Radio is known for their outstanding stage presence, and like to often have the audience join in the fun." I noticed this sentence. It doesn't seem to contribute much other than point of view. Should it be kept?

Fair use rationale for Image:Barnsessions.jpg

edit

Image:Barnsessions.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:21, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Biography Section

edit

I removed the opening line "The mixture of indie rock songwriting, socially conscious lyrics, and roots reggae rhythms has long been a staple in the jam band world, and State Radio delivers on all counts," because I felt that it was biased. If there is some way that the actual information in this sentence could be added without the unnecessary opinions, that would be great. Otherwise, I see no reason for it to be in there. Sverez (talk) 17:37, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I disagree I think its notable throughout Bob Marley, to John Butler, to Matisyahu that those are not uncommon characteristics. It helps to better and more properly portray their genre, providing a better understanding of what their general sound consists of.
