More needs to be added to the article to further explain the history of Kryptonians, their technology, powers, etc. Son of Kong

The Sun's influence in Smallville

edit

Regarding this text:

"In the series Smallville it is unknown whether or not the Kryptonians are naturally powerful. There has been no indications on solar energy being the source of their super-human powers and some episodes in Smallville go as far to suggest that Kryptonians are naturally powerful."

it is worth mentioning that in the season 3 episode "Perry" the appearance of solar flares disrupts Clark's powers, sometimes shutting them off, sometimes making them go berserk. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 146.164.6.190 (talk) 16:54, 1 February 2007 (UTC).Reply

Darren Doyle

edit

The section concerning Darren Doyle's work on Kryptonian appears to be written by Doyle himself (based on similar wording from his own sight. I have been unable to find any evidence that he is working in an official capacity for DC comics, warner Bros. or Smallville. Furthermore, there is no evidence that any licensed materials have used his work. This being the case, This is original research and should be removed from the article. I will remove it next time I come back to this article if this challenge goes without a response. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.212.249.162 (talk) 06:09, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've removed a section on Darren Doyle's Kryptonian language, which (per above) seems to have been removed before. As far as I can tell, this is a non-notable fan project. If it has received any official approval, or been covered in any reliable sources, it can be restored, but in the absence of such sources it shouldn't be in the article. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 16:45, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Seems like this might be a bit of a gray area (i dunno, maybe it's not). The project is definitely not official, but neither is there anything like it from DC, nor is there any project of its kind by anyone else. The project's website has been around for years, and so has the link on superman.nu. I listed some sources (or are they references?) below, but I don't know if they would be considered reliable or not by Wikipedia standards. (The explanations/rules for suitable material seemed to be geared towards non-fictional stuff, so I had trouble understanding how to apply them to works of fiction.) From what I could glean it definitely doesn't merit its own article, but a mention within an article seemed potentially acceptable. Here's that list of sources:

Black Holes

edit

I think this part under Physiology and powers should be changed. He is vulnerable to any heavy gravity phenomenon, not just black holes, isn't he? Jokem (talk) 20:28, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Brightburn

Some sentence is said in an alien language in the film Brightburn. Maybe in Kryptonian? הראש (talk) 22:37, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
