Needs help and especially sources!
editWow....the last paragraph under News Operations and entire Controversy section need SOME sort of referenced sources. Reads like a gossip collumn from the Equirer as is. Sector001 (talk) 03:36, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Former Staff section
editI just cut everyone out of the alumni section that does not have their own Wikipedia page or have a reference to establish their notability. In the case of this TV station, that was every single person on the list, so the section was removed. This is the current consensus procedure, based on discussions at WP:WikiProject Television Stations and at the Village Pump. The rationales are as follows:
- Most importantly, per WP:NOT, Wikipedia is "not an indiscriminate collection of information." As that section describes, just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean the info belongs in Wikipedia.
- Secondarily, per WP:V, we cannot include information that is not verifiable and sourced. I'm not certain how it would even be possible to source this information.
- Per WP:BLP, we have to be especially careful about including un-sourced info about living persons.
All of the people with their own pages are notable enough to appear on this list. However, if you look at pages about companies in general, you will not find mention of previous employees, except in those cases where the employee was particularly notable. Even then, the information is not presented just as a list of info, but is incorporated into the text itself (for example, when a company's article talks about the policies a previous CEO had, or when they mention the discovery/invention of a former engineer/researcher).
The section can be re-added, as long as only people with their own wikipages or a reliable source to demonstrate the person's notability is included with each entry. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:51, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 3 external links on KSHB-TV. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20120214054407/http://www.bottomlinecom.com:80/kshb-re-brands-itself/ to http://www.bottomlinecom.com/kshb-re-brands-itself/
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20101214082136/http://bottomlinecom.com/kshbexpandingnews.html to http://www.bottomlinecom.com/kshbexpandingnews.html
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20111003041001/http://www.bottomlinecom.com/kcnews/kclocalnewsexpansion.html to http://www.bottomlinecom.com/kcnews/kclocalnewsexpansion.html

Request edit - KSHB logo
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi! I work for EW Scripps, the parent company of KSHB. I have been asked to update the KSHB logo as the station has gone through a rebrand - you can see their new blue letter logo on https://www.kshb.com/. I'm not sure how to update it on the WIKI page, any help would be appreciated. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fei Xing Scripps (talk • contribs)
- As your company probably holds the copyright to this logo, you can upload it to Wikipedia Commons. You will need to contact OTRS to give them permission to use the logo. More information about that is here: [1] (scroll to "I am an employee of the copyright owner.") After the image is uploaded and the copyright tags are properly placed, you can replace the logo at the top yourself. Z1720 (talk) 19:36, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
