His "beloved" wife ??
editIt seems inappropriate for the least sentence to say "with his beloved wife at his side." A. The cited obituary from Variety doesn't say that, and B. it's an editorial not in keeping with the nature of Wikipedia. It should simply say when and where he died. - Looking at the username of the user that made the edit - 'Hillarybec' - it was actually his wife that added that sentence. That explains the use of emotive language. I agree; Although I have every sympathy for the sentiment expressed, Wikipedia is unfortunately not the place for it. 90.212.92.102 (talk) 22:29, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Only 7 percent survived at Juno Beach?
editIt does not seem credible that 93 percent of the Canadian troops that landed on Juno Beach on 6 June 1944 were killed or wounded, which would have been an absolute catastrophe, far worse than Omaha Beach. Perhaps only 7 percent of some unidentified subset of the troops is what is meant here? Mdnavman (talk) 17:11, 19 September 2014 (UTC)mdnavman
