Needs more detail

edit

This is a valuable and useful tool for forestry work -- gasoline powered, any way. In 2 weeks I'll add some text to flesh this out and provide a photograph or two showing how the tool can be used to cut back and eliminate Buck Thorn from hiking trails, specifically Lost Ridge Trail. Objection to the use of "trim, trimmer, trimming," to describe "pruning."

edit

The specific and precise word to use for the removal of a part of a plant is "pruning," The tools used are pruning shears, loppers, power shears, etc. The tool used to prune hedges is a hedge shear, or power hedge shear. You trim an undergarment with lace, you trim fingernails, beards, and nose hairs, you trim a room with architectural mouldings, and you trim a dinner table with garnishes, flowers, or other adornments, but you prune plants.pechaney (talk) 00:10, 22 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
